FASTag Annual Pass to Launch on August 15: What Frequent Highway Travellers Should Know
NHAI launches the FASTag Annual Pass from August 15 for private vehicles — a one-time ₹3,000 payment covers 200 toll crossings or one year, simplifying highway travel.
Drivers can skip repeated toll payments with the new FASTag Annual Pass, valid on NHAI national highways from August 15.

Starting Independence Day, August 15, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will roll out the FASTag Annual Pass for private vehicles, offering hassle-free highway travel with a single payment.
The pass is designed for frequent highway users, allowing drivers to pay one-time ₹3,000 for either 200 toll crossings or one year of unlimited travel, whichever comes first. This move aims to reduce repeated recharges, speed up toll payments, and cut waiting times at toll plazas.
What is the FASTag Annual Pass?
Announced in June, the FASTag Annual Pass is exclusive to non-commercial private vehicles. Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari highlighted that the scheme addresses issues with toll plazas located close together, simplifying payments through a single, convenient plan.
The pass will be linked to your existing active FASTag, which must be registered to the vehicle’s number. It will be valid only on NHAI and MoRTH national highways and expressways.
